AUSTIN O. NWULU, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC), has extensive experience assessing and treating mental health and substance use challenges in Africa and North America.
He started his mental health training in 1993 with a post-basic psychiatric Registered Nurse degree from the School of Psychiatric Nursing in Aba, Nigeria. While working full-time as a psychiatric nurse, he earned a BSN from Grand Canyon University and an MSN from Walden University in the U.S.
Austin provides psychiatric care to people of all ages and backgrounds in inpatient and outpatient settings. He advocates for collaborative care that considers patients’ preferences and choices in treatment planning.
As a mental health care provider, Austin acknowledges that mental health recovery can be a challenging journey and eagerly anticipates the opportunity to be a part of it.
